Early February, book club hostess Laura Gigliotti made rice
balls using the recipe in my book.

(L to R) Shelburne resident and longtime buddy from San Fran
Sharon Harkness, Laura, and I take a photo op before my
first book club appearance.

The Williston Vermont book club gals.

The next evening, Christy Bahrenburg (the lovely blonde on my
left) welcomed me to her book club with a delicious sit-down
dinner affair in her gorgeous Shelburne Vermont home.

I had a great time discussing the craft of writing to Nora
Mitchell’s memoir writing class at Burlington College.

Before my book reading at the Lafayette Library in Lafayette
California, I enjoyed gourmet pizza with Dianne Jacob,
author of Will Write for Food and my literary agent
Carole Bidnick (hiding behind the camera.)

Maria Hjelm of the Lafayette Library gave a wonderful intro.

The best part of the book tour was meeting and
talking to my readership.

During my visit to San Francisco, I was able to sneak in
a book club appearance at the home of Chris Camor
in Los Gatos, California. Thanks to Sue Fagan and
Lisa Scopazzi-Evans for coordinating my visit.

Seal Press editor, Brook Warner moderated my book
reading event at San Francisco’s Books, Inc. Our work
was followed with a great meal at La Jardinière.

My brother Keven accompanied me to my book
reading at Seattle’s famous Elliott Bay bookstore.

I loved the audience at Elliott Bay and the
enthusiastic literary scene in Seattle.

I spent an afternoon making tofu at Uwajimaya Supermarket,
Seattle’s premier Japanese supermarket in the
International District.

Adding the final touches to my homemade tofu.

Thanks to Takami (L) of Kinokunya Bookstore and Louise (R),
who assisted in my tofu making demo, for making this
book event a smooth success!

Portland Oregon’s Broadway Books was the last book
reading event in the West Coast.

Ahh, March.  It's great to be back in Vermont. Laura Gigliotti catered a yummy lunch for my book reading at Williston’s
Dorothy Alling Memorial Library.

The Red Hat Ladies were out in full force at the Williston
Library book event.  Thanks for coming ladies!

Attendees of my summer book reading at Shelburne, Vermont's Flying Pig Bookstore enjoyed delicious Japanese pastries
prepared by bookseller Matt Frassica.

Many thanks to the Flying Pig Bookstore for hosting my
book signing and reading!
